A Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life is an unstructured wake or memorial following the passing of a friend or loved one. The Clubhouse is a popular venue for these gatherings perhaps because we are surrounded by such profound manifestations of life in the trees, chirping birds and grass.
A Celebration of Life generally follows more formal services and may include people not attending a family or private funeral, for example. Invitations are usually word-of-mouth.
Generally scheduled on short notice, A Celebration of Life consists of some simple appetizers and a hosted self-service beer, wine and soda table. Food is prepared on a per-platter basis since it is often difficult to guess how many people will attend.
You should bring a collage of photos on a foam board (to be placed on an easel), and flowers from the service, if any.
These arrangements can be made over the phone or by email, if you so choose.
